چکیده

The refractive result is a criterion for the quality of surgical correction cataract. aim this study was to analyze results obtained in calculating optical power intraocular lens (IOL), by applying formulas Holladay II and Barrett Universal II, treatment patients. conducted over period 2 years analyzed 235 eyes 160 patients (80 women 80 men) who underwent surgery at MMA Eye Clinic (Sofia) between May 2018 December 2020. A complete ophthalmological examination performed. Surgical methods included performing uncomplicated phacoemulsification with intracapsular implantation (IOL) all effectiveness applied procedure determined implementation intended postoperative (Target) achieved uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA). month after operation 49 (85.1%) UCVA 0.8, which very good result. In both formulas, postoperative, were best normal axial length, followed cases hyperopic refraction. There greater inaccuracy longer lastly there support understanding that currently no ideal formula give desired, refraction eye types. analysis essential modern medical practice.
